RCD’s (Residual Current Devices) & Safety Switches Installation

New laws have come into effect which concern mandatory installation of a minimum of 2 RCD's into any house, one for the power circuits and one for the light circuits, when it is sold or a house that is to be leased out. However even if you are not intending to sell or rent your home you should consider RCD’s as they may very well be a life saving investment.  RCD’s are designed to isolate the electricity supply in the event of a fault to stop the possibility of electrocution and every home in Australia should have them.

Additionally it is no good just having the RCD’s installed they need to be tested regularly (preferably once per month) to ensure they operate correctly. On completion of the installation our technicians will demonstrate how to test the RCD and how to reset it.  This is guaranteed by an electrical safety certificate issued to you
